Development Update

THE SPRING THANKATHON IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER and we could use your help during the week of March 22! Thanking our past donors is a great way to keep them in the loop on school happenings while showing our appreciation for their support.

In a year where there haven’t been as many opportunities for parents to volunteer as we would like, this is also a great way for you to help Riverside right from your home.

We also have some new features planned that will make it easier for Thankathon volunteers to create their own call lists and help us keep track of calls made. Please reach out to me at: lrohr@riversideschool.org or (804) 320-3465, ext. 106 if you can participate or if you have any questions.

at Riverside! The sun is shining, the sky is a wonderful shade of blue, and from the window in my office, I can see and hear our flags flapping in the breeze.

As you know, movement and exercise is extremely important for young people, and Riverside recognizes this in every part of our educational approach. In addition to PE and recess, teachers are encouraged to use their judgement in finding movement breaks and opportunities for fresh air throughout the instructional day.

Please keep this in mind as you choose the clothing and shoes your child wears to school and pack the appropriate water bottles. Healthy bodies and healthy minds are clearly connected, and Riverside embraces both.
