TODAY IS OUR FIRST PARENT CONFERENCE DAY OF THE YEAR for Riverside School, and although I miss seeing our students, I know that our conferences couldn’t be more important to their success.
Recently, I was trying to explain how Riverside’s approach to parent conferences differs from other schools. I decided that Riverside stands apart in how we “do data” the way it should be done at a school. By this, I mean that Riverside is all about measurable and achievable goals, and then testing and tracking that process carefully and expertly. But we do this through the lens of teachers who know their students personally and care for them as young people.
Parent conferences are very important in how we share with parents their student’s progress, both academically and as individuals.
That being said, it is always important that we always look for ways to improve and grow as a school, and this year, I am asking each set of parents to take a few minutes to fill out a short survey on their Parent Conference. This link will be e-mailed out, but in case you missed it, please feel free to access the survey.
Thanks so much for participating in Parent Conferences today, and we look forward to seeing your students tomorrow.
