After-school pottery classes at Riverside are back by popular demand. The programs will take place on Wednesday afternoons from March 28 through April 25.
Students can come and check out what they can do with a few simple hand-building techniques. Interested individuals will learn how to make coil pots, pinch pots and roll out slabs to create virtually any form of their dreams.
All told, the lessons are sure to be fun experience and stir creative juices. Bring a snack and dress to get dirty. The sessions are led by Peggy Healy, Riverside’s art teacher and art therapist. Mrs. Healy is also a potter. She has studied pottery in Japan and taught in the United States and England.
If your child would like to participate, please sign up soon; space is limited to six students
