VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are a special part of the Riverside community.

Volunteer opportunities range from parents helping in the classroom to community members volunteering in our ballroom dance program. For parents, Riverside has an active Parents’ Association that meets monthly and coordinates volunteers. For community members, please contact us at [email protected] or (804) 320-3465 to see how you can get involved.

Riverside Parents’ Association

Riverside’s Parents’ Association is an amazing group of parents and family dedicated to supporting our school. The Parents’ Association coordinates volunteers to help with school projects, provides support and recognition for our teachers and faculty, and raises funds to help support school activities.

The Parents Association also puts on Riverside’s annual Harvest Moon social each fall to raise money for special projects. It is a fun evening event that includes food, drinks, raffle prizes, and good company.

Riverside Readers

Riverside School’s newest volunteer opportunity has dual goals of providing extra educational interactions for our students and increasing community involvement and awareness of Riverside School. One day per month during the school year, volunteers can come read one-on-one with our students in the time between drop-off and morning assembly (7:30 am- 7:55 am). Interested volunteers should contact Director of Development Leo Rohr by email or at (804) 320-3465.
